- Continue east past Topeka Boulevard (another .7 miles).
- Continue east past Kansas Avenue (another .25 miles).
- Just past Monroe Street (approximately .15 miles) turn left into the visitor parking lot for the national historic site.

Directions from the hotels along SW Wanamaker Road to Washburn Law:
- From north of 17th Street (e.g., Holiday Inn Express, Fairfield Inn, Comfort Inn, Days Inn of Topeka):
- Turn south on Wanamaker Road to 17th Street (McDonald's / Best Buy are on the left at this intersection).
- Turn left (east) on 17th Street.
